Condition Posters for your Office

Condition Posters for your Office

The Podiatry Voice is my new Shopify store for foot and ankle education posters. The collection includes condition-specific posters and clinical references for the conversations we have every day in the office. You can browse the store at The Podiatry Voice.

I wanted to introduce this collection to colleagues who want patient education to have a place on their office walls. The posters cover familiar diagnoses such as heel pain and hammertoes. They also address diabetic foot ulcers and limb preservation.

Education belongs in the exam room

At WeTreatFeet Podiatry, patient education is part of how I approach care. In my previous writing, I have described using picture-based guides and visual checklists to support the instructions we give patients. These materials give us something concrete to refer to during a conversation.Clinic

That is the role I see for condition posters in an office.

When I discuss a diagnosis, I want the patient to understand what we are treating and why the plan makes sense. A poster gives that discussion a visible reference point. It can stay in the room for the next visit or the next question.

I would use these posters as part of a conversation. The explanation still needs to fit the person sitting in front of me.

Posters for the conditions you see in practice

The collection includes posters on bunions and hammertoes alongside heel pain and Achilles tendinitis. There are also references for ingrown toenails and fungal nail infections.

For offices with a larger diabetic foot population, the collection includes diabetic neuropathy and Charcot foot. Other posters address diabetic foot ulcers and diabetic foot infection.

Wound care topics include venous leg ulcers and foot and ankle osteomyelitis. The collection also includes peripheral arterial disease and amputation prevention.

There are posters for treatment discussions as well. These include custom foot orthotics and foot surgery education.

The range allows you to choose subjects that fit your practice. An office seeing frequent sports injuries may want a different selection from a wound center.

Choose what you will actually use

My advice to another practice owner is to start with the diagnoses you explain most often. Think about the questions that keep coming up in your exam rooms. Choose a poster that gives you something useful to point to when you answer them.

You do not need to cover every wall. A focused selection that fits your patient population is a sensible place to begin.
